Learning with Hyperskill

One structured plan with current content. Each topic builds on the last, every answer is checked, and you set the pace.

  1. Learn a concept in a short lesson
  2. Apply it in a real project stage
  3. Finish the course, earn a certificate
  4. Show your projects to employers

Build something real from your first week

Every project is split into stages. You learn the theory a stage needs, write the code and get it checked. Finished projects can go straight to your GitHub as proof of what you can do.

  1. Stage 1/4 Invite your friends
  2. Stage 2/4 The bill has arrived
  3. Stage 3/4 The Lucky One
  4. Stage 4/4 Party is over

Bill Splitter

Write a Python tool that splits a restaurant bill between friends, then add a twist: one lucky friend pays nothing.

Questions, answered

Is Hyperskill really free?

Yes. A free account opens the lessons and practice problems of every course with no time limit. The free plan caps wrong answers, hints and solution views each day; Premium lifts those caps and adds projects.

I have never written code. Where do I start?

Pick an introductory course such as Introduction to Java or Python Fundamentals. Each topic starts with a short lesson and moves to small problems, so you practise from the first day.

I already code. Will I repeat what I know?

No. A short personalization quiz lets you skip topics you already know, and Premium lets you skip any topic yourself.

Do I need to install anything?

Some problems run right in the browser. Most practice and the projects happen in a JetBrains IDE with the JetBrains Academy plugin, and the mobile apps let you study on the go.

How long does a course take?

Each course lists its hours up front, from a few hours to more than 200. There are no deadlines, so you study at the pace that fits your week.
