Who runs this page

This website (hyperskill.egbe.app) is operated by Egbe, a marketing partner of Hyperskill. It describes Hyperskill, the learning platform at hyperskill.org. Accounts, courses, subscriptions and payments are provided by Hyperskill on hyperskill.org under Hyperskill's own terms and privacy policy. Egbe may be paid by Hyperskill for the marketing that leads people to this page.

What we collect

Usage analytics. Pages viewed, buttons and links clicked, the referring site and campaign parameters (UTM tags and advertising click identifiers), browser and device type, and an approximate country. A random visitor identifier is kept in your browser storage so that repeat visits can be recognised. Analytics runs for every visitor from the moment the page loads.
Session recordings. Replays of how the page is used, such as scrolling, clicks and pointer movement, recorded for every session and capped at 30 minutes. Text in form fields is masked.
Link log. When you follow a link to hyperskill.org we store which link it was, the campaign parameters of your visit, the random visitor identifier, your browser type and a one-way hash of your IP address that we use only to stop abuse. We never learn your name or email address here: this page has no forms.
Error reports. Technical details about errors in the page code.

To tell Hyperskill how many visits and sign-ups came through this page.

What Hyperskill receives

Links from this page to hyperskill.org carry the campaign parameters of your visit, any advertising click identifier you arrived with, and the random visitor identifier (as egbe_vid), so that Hyperskill can tell which visits and registrations came through this page. They never contain your name or email address. Hosting, analytics and error monitoring run on Egbe's own platform. We do not sell personal data.

Advertising measurement with Reddit

We use the Reddit Pixel to send page-visit information to Reddit for advertising measurement. Reddit may receive browser and device information, the page URL and advertising identifiers. This third-party advertising measurement is separate from Egbe analytics. Content blockers can prevent the Pixel from loading without affecting access to this website. See Reddit’s privacy policy. Registration and payment happen on hyperskill.org; a click from this page is not a completed registration.

Retention and your choices

We keep analytics, recordings and the link log for as long as they are needed for the purposes above and delete them on request. You can block analytics with any content blocker without losing access to the page.
